FAMILIES
Our intergenerational Charitable Trust provides platforms for families to engage in arts and culture.
The pageant welcomes contestants from diverse cultural backgrounds and has supported many families in overcoming personal challenges. Unique among New Zealand pageants, Miss Rotorua allows women of all creeds to compete, offering support services for youth in Oranga Tamariki care and assisting teens with social issues referred by Rotorua Police.
Our contestants have included disabled individuals, solo mothers, grandmothers, sexual assault victims, and those living in poverty.
SOCIAL ISSUES
Addressing social issues is at the heart of the Miss Rotorua Foundation’s mission. Our initiatives aim to provide support and solutions to some of the community’s most pressing challenges:
